Paragrafo rivelatore: "Productive stupidity means being ignorant by choice".

 Daghe!

Monon Behavior in the world.

  2. There's some truth to that. Original thinking must be discouraged lest a green suckling scientist, a mere PhD student, could cast a shadow onto your scientific reputation by showing how easy it was to solve an issue that haunted you for so many years by just thinking outside the box. Or, even worse, he or she might dare ask what the hell those arcane acronyms mean, which would sink you even deeper in the swamp for no-one in his right mind would ever remember the meaning of ~ 10^5 acronyms that nowadays make up an initiatic language of their own. Who would ever know what the words "interaction", or AGC5742, or SLURP really mean? They fill up the mouth alright, properly used they can make your speech 20% longer, and nobody would ever dare criticize you for using them - but a green suckling PhD student, of course.
So let's keep being stupid, let's keep making them stupid, let's keep publishing by the ton without any particular eye to the contents, or else the Science as we know it today might not survive long!

    1. Did you read it? Cause the article is about the complete opposite of what you're saying, meaning that if you feel comfortable in dealing with research, you're not researching hard enough...
